The Europeans and their sense of humour in Formula 1...

Being a Formula 1 fan, you think you see everything and hear everything that's related to the F1 racecar. Well, after looking around for a while, I discovered that former British F1 commentator Murray Walker has a few of his own gems and is very dynamic compared to James Allen and Martin Brundle. As well, there is an Austrian named Heinz Prüller who makes the same interesting commentary. It seems like the boring commentators are on this side of the pond. Anyhow, here's some quotes from Heinz Prüller:

"only 5 left in the same lap: Michael Schumacher, Ralf, Montoya and Barrichello..."

"a race driver must at least weigh 70kg, because if he only weighs 79kg..."

"The countdown starts at zero again..."

"Mansell is in lead being 6 seconds behind"

And here's a few from Murray Walker:

"Unless I'm very much mistaken ... yes, I AM very much mistaken."

"The lead car is absolutely unique - except for the car behind which is identical."

"There's nothing wrong with the car except that it's on fire."

"With the race half gone there is half the race still to go."

"I imagine the conditions in those cars are totally unimaginable."

"The atmosphere is so tense you could cut it with a cricket stump."

"Either that car is stationary or it is on the move."

So, there you have it. European F1 commentators are a lot more fun than the F1 commentators on this side of the pond. In the heat of the moment, they can throw the most interesting and some of the craziest quotes you can find. It kind of reminds me of Steve...
